ABSTRACT
In this article, adsorption as an effective method for removing phenol and its compound from wastewater has been reviewed. It is clear from the literature survey that adsorption can be achieved through different materials such as commercial activated carbon, naturally occurring materials, synthetic polymer, waste material and activated carbon from waste materials. However, there is need to study more on the effect of other pollutants on adsorption of phenolics so as reduce its environmental and health effects
