ABSTRACT
Socio-economic reforms carried out in the Russian Federation, led to the emergence of large agro-industrial associations - agricultural holdings, which differ in their structure, resource and investment potential, and able to make a significant contribution to solving the problem of food security, both individual regions and the country as a whole. The paper assesses the efficiency of agricultural holdings in the example of the Belgorod region and identify the prospects for their development.
