Analyzing Administrator Anxiety Levels of School Administrators According to Various Variables

This study aims to define the anxiety states that administrators in pre-school, primary school and secondary school can experience because of some various factors in their business life; and to determine some precautions that can be taken to attract attention to such problems and to solve these problems. In this study, scanning model is used. In this context, the anxiety levels of the administrators in pre-school, primary school and secondary school are tried to be described. The study group of the study is composed of 266 administrators including 106 school principals and 160 vice principals. 14 of these administrators work in pre-school, 167 of them work in primary school and 85 work in secondary school. 15 of the participants are female and 251 are male. The data of the study is collected with “Personal Information Form” and “Administrator Anxiety Scale” developed by the researcher. By conducting arithmetic mean, t-test, variance analysis and Scheffe tests on the data collected with Administrator Anxiety Scale and the results are interpreted. Generally the anxiety levels of the school administrators in APA factor was at high level and the anxiety levels in WLA factor was at medium level. And the anxiety levels of the school administrators according to total scores in AAS are at high level.
