Mangifera indica (Family: Anacardiaceae) is being used in Ayurvedic and indigenous medical systems for the treatment of various diseases including gastric ulcer. Considering the above claims, the present work was undertaken to validate the antiulcer potential of the petroleum ether and ethanol extracts of leaves of M. indica against in vivo aspirin-induced gastric ulcer assay.
