ABSTRACT
In spite of the hope generated in these preliminarytrials which suggested RAAS immunization to be aninnovative and promising approach for the treatment ofhypertension, many questions remain unansweredregarding its efficacy, safety, appropriate dose selectionto achieve higher titer to achieve adequate BP loweringresponse, timing of administration and duration of responseand regarding its booster dose requirement. Thus, thesehurdles remain to be addressed before this strategy cancompete with current oral medications for hypertension.
