ARM-based Embedded Ethernet Interface Design Using DAC System

ABSTRACT
Now a days we are using many Networked embeddedsystems for monitoring and control the home or industrial devices.With the scalable networking solution The server enables Webaccess to distributed measurement/control systems and providesoptimization for educational laboratories, instrumentation,Industrial and home automation. Currently device withmicrocontroller has been widely used in industrial field. However,a large number of devices don’t have the network interface andthe data from them can not be transmitted in network. A design ofARM processor-based embedded Ethernet interface is presented.In the design, an existing SPI serial device can be converted into anetwork interface peripheral to obtain compatibility with thenetwork. The design mainly consists of SPI communicationmodule, processor module and Ethernet interface module. In thedesign, embedded real time operating system μC / Linux istransplanted into the microcontroller LM3S8962 and the data canbe transmitted between remote SPI serial devices and hostcomputer. After the design is completed, the system is tested andthe results show that Ethernet is connected between the host andARM Cortex and the terminal data can be transmitted viaEthernet.
