ABSTRACT
Security is a crucial service in wireless sensor networks that isbecoming increasingly common in WSNs because wirelesssensor nodes are typically deployed in an unattendedenvironment, leaving them open to possible hostile networkattack. Because wireless sensor nodes are limited incomputing power, data storage and communicationcapabilities, any user authentication protocol must be designedto operate efficiently in a resource constrained environment. With a widespread growth in the potential applications ofWSN, the need for reliable security mechanisms for them hasincreased manifold. Security protocols in WSNs, unlike thetraditional mechanisms, need special efforts and issues to beaddressed. The set of challenges in sensor networks arediverse, we focus on attacks on Wireless Sensor Network inthis paper.
