ABSTRACT
the footing that placed on slope surface will decreasebearing capacity of soil. The function of using composite bamboopile is to increase bearing capacity of footing on slope and that isone of the innovative slope reinforcement methods whichnecessary for last few years. Slope modeling with compositebamboo reinforcement was using an experiment box with 1,50 mas length; 1,0 m as width and 1,0 m as height. It used sand soil withfine gradation and composite bamboo pile with various pile lengthand pile location. The load was modeled as a strip footing withcontinuous increasing load by load cell until the limit load hasbeen reach. The problem occurred in laboratory has been analyzedwith Finite Element Method. It changed 3D slope modeling to be2D modeling. Composite bamboo pile has been chosen as a newutilization innovation of bamboo as reinforced pile and that’s apositive value to optimize bamboo local material as steel reinforcedreplacement material. The result of experiment using compositebamboo as pile reinforcement on slope has increased slope bearingcapacity. It shown with significant increasing of bearing capacityand maximum limit load can be reached on slope.
