Bioethical implications in the act of nursing who provides assistance at mental health

Objective: to analyze the understanding of nurses on care in the area of Mental Health and identify the association between bioethics and care in mental health. Methodology: qualitative research in the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS III), located in the countryside of Minas Gerais state. Data were collected through interviews with four nurses from the CAPS III. The results were analyzed through the technique of the Discourse of the Collective Subject. The research project was approved of the Research Ethics Committee of the Catholic University of Minas Gerais (CAAE 0047.0.213.000-08). Results: the nurses’ role in mental health as it is hybrid and that requires different skills. Conclusion: there is the paradigm shift from the practice of nurses in mental health to still find itself in duality models of care to the sufferers of mental disorders.
