ABSTRACT
The investigation was carried out to determine The chemical composition of the fatty acids methyl esters (FAMEs) bark of Cordia Macleodii were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). GC-MS analysis of Methyl ester of Saponifiable matter led to identification of 12 compounds. This analysis revealed that contains Cordia Macleodii bark mainly Butyric Acid-2, 2 di methyl vinyl ester (19.52%), Butyl Carbinol(14.58%) Gem-Di methyl Cyclopentane (14.34%), Hexadecane (14.01%) , Ciclosano (19.71%) , Heptadeconoic Acid(9.18%).
