ABSTRACT
This paper aims to make a brief study of Borenstein and Rose (2008), which examines in detail the consequences of airline industry deregulation, particularly in the domestic passenger market in the US. This regulatory reform led to drastic changes in market variables, as price levels, airline network structure, service quality and market structure. The authors conclude that the biggest beneficiaries of deregulation were the passengers, mainly due to the increased accessibility to air travel generated by the act.
