Introduction, The therapeutic tuning fork for bronchial hygiene has not been described in the literature. It is expected that a tuning fork with a fixed frequency of 25 Hz is capable to generating chest wall oscillation facilitating bronchial hygiene. Objective, To develop a tuning fork and calibrate it at a fixed frequency of 25 Hz. Methods, The tuning fork was made of drawn steel, using lathes machines for bending, shaping and welding steel. After fabrication, the frequency generated by the tuning fork was evaluated using a digital oscilloscope. Results. The product was made fork-shaped, with 492 grams weight, length 624 mm, containing a transducer of 62 mm and a thickness of 5/16 mm (8’), a shank and a removable fork 148 mm 362mm in length. The equipment reaches a fixed frequency of 25Hz. Conclusions, The tuning fork reached the frequency proposal, but further studies are needed to verify its effectiveness.
