ABSTRACT
The main function of the anti-skid relief is to avoid the slipping of the foot wearing footwear while in dynamics. The anti-skid relief is made on the sole surface which comes in contact with the support plan. The relief shapes, dimensions and position on the sole surface is done fallowing a set of well-defined rules. To elaborate the methodology for anti-skid relief design are taking in account a set of restrictions determined by the foot anatomy, the foot slip tendency while walking or performing sports, the influence of the relief shape on the foot comfort in dynamics, the wearing resistance as well as the technologies used in producing the moulds inwhich the soles will be formed. This paper presents a set of criteria which are the basics for the anti-skid relief design.
