ABSTRACT
This paper investigates the design of reduced order controllers for the stabilization of large scale lineardiscrete-time control systems. Sufficient conditions are derived for the design of reduced ordercontrollers by obtaining a reduced order model of the original large scale linear system using thedominant state of the system. The reduced order controllers are assumed to use only the state of thereduced order model of the original plant.
