ABSTRACT
Pervasive computing is a rapidly developing area of Information and Communications Technology (ICT). The term refers to the increasing integration of ICT into people’s lives and environments, made possible by the growing availability of microprocessors with inbuilt communications facilities. Pervasive computing has many potential applications, from health and home care to environmental monitoring and intelligent transport systems. The evolving concepts of pervasive computing, ubiquitous computing and ambient intelligence are increasingly influencing health care and medicine. This paper highlights some of the different areas of pervasive computing in which the research is going on and also provides an overview of recent developments and implementations of pervasive computing systems in health care particularly in early diagnosis of the dreadful disease AIDS
