論中國古代「藏書家」的定義:以明代為例 A Discussion on Definitions of Chinese Ancient Book Collectors in Ming Dynasty

藏書史研究的內容極為豐富,包括自古以來各種藏書機構和私人的藏書活動,以及典冊與圖書本身,還有諸如圖書的收集、購求、鑒別、保藏、研究與散佚等專業範疇,藏書思想與方法理論,也囊括與藏書活動關係密切的刻書、書肆、流通與傳播等社會風尚,和因藏書風尚產生的政治、經濟和社會文化背景等等,都是屬於中國文化史的一部份,非常值得深入探究。但是,藏書史研究往往受限於有關古代「藏書家」的定義,因為累朝歷代對於「典籍」的認知略有不同,才會造成藏書史研究上的根本問題。 反觀數十年來的藏書史研究,還沒有專書或專論針對古代藏書家的定義而作,事實上,在定義時也存有很大的困境。本文試圖從史料當中梳理出一條理路,以明代的藏書家為例,為中國古代藏書家的定義作出部份釐清與說明。The book collection research contents are extremely rich, including each kinds of collection agencies and private collections since the ancient times, as well as book itself, and such as the book collection, purchase, identification, preservation, research, loss, thoughts and theoretical methods, and those customs are related closely to book collection activities about publishing, bookmen, circulation and dissemination, and the background of politics, economy, social culture that arise from the customs of book collection, they are all belong to the category of Chinese cultural history, and deserve to study deeply.However, the research of book-collecting history are always limited from the definition of ancient book collector, because of the recognition about the books in each period of time in ancient were different, and became a primary question of research in book-collecting history of ancient China. Surveying the research of the book-collecting, there are no any professional books or essays in definiens of Chinese book collectors.In fact, it’s hard to define it clearly. This article helps to realize the ancient book collectors clear by source books, discussing and explaining the definition of book collectors in Ming dynasty.
