ABSTRACT
The aim of this work is to study the hospital the Queen’s Hospital in Ponferrada (León, Spain) during the Modern Age. It was a modest centre. However it was one of the few that offered medical aid in the province of Leon during that historical stage.The approach will be made from several perspectives. We analyse where the income that sustained came from and who managed them; the staff as well as other internal matters, such as the diet, the protocol of attention or the number of people assisted there, are also investigated.
