ABSTRACT
The effects of ethanolic leaf extract of Commiphora africana on some serum lipid profiles were investigated in rats. Graded concentrations of 0, 25, 50, 100 and 150 mg kg-1 body weight of the extract were administered by gastric incubations for 24 h, 48 h and 10 days durations. The following lipid profiles were examined in the serum: total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglycerides.
