The aim of the study is to assess the blood pressure, pulse rate, peak expiratory flow rate, Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 sec (FEV1), and Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) of carpenters and non-carpenters in Sabon- Gari local government area, Zaria. Their Body Mass Index (BMI) and other anthropometric data were also obtained. 200 males between the ages of 18 and 35 were used for this research. 100 were carpenters and 100 were non carpenters.
