This new entrepreneur class, together with European tour operators and Franco administration, constitute the key actors in the economic process which carries economic, environmental, social and political impacts to these regions till nowadays. Along with the usual economic analyses of the local tourist entrepreneur class, this article aims at devel-oping a historical, political and comparative perspective of the conditions that help to configure the local entrepreneurship. With this goal, the example of Majorca, for its model features, is undertaken.
