ABSTRACT
This report shows selected results of geophysical measurements in the area Arzberg–Rauchenberg. The field works have been done within the annual geophysical and geochemical field project, organized in cooperation with the universities of Vienna and Leoben. The geophysical measurements are supervised by the staff members of the chair of Geophysics of the University of Leoben. The aim of this practical exploration is field work, data processing and integrative interpretation of the measurements. To show the advantages, disadvantages and limits of the individual methods, many geophysical methods have been used. To stay within the limits of this report only some interesting examples have been chosen. Beginning with the relative simple but nevertheless significant Self Potential method, the results of multielectrode geoelectric- and Induced Polarisation measurements are presented. Due to old subsurface galleries, there was also the distinguished possibility to make subsurface geoelectric measurements. Modelling and integrative interpretation could significantly refine the image of the structure of this deposit.
