This paper presents a contribution for detailed comparison between two control strategies for Induction Machine 'IM' drives: Direct FieldOriented control 'DFOC' and Direct Torque Control 'DTC'. The performances of those two control schemes are evaluated and compared by simulation in terms of torque and current ripples, transient response and sensitivity to machine parameters.
