ABSTRACT
The objective of the study is to evaluate the individual main and combined (or interaction) effects of ß- cyclodextrin (ßCD), surfactant (Poloxamer 407) andPVPK30 on the solubility and dissolution rate of three BCS class II drugs namely (i) etoricoxib (ii) nimesulide and (iii) valsartan in a series of 23 factorialexperiments. The solubility of each drug in eight selected fluids containing ßCD, Poloxamer 407 and PVP as per 23 factorial study was determined. Solubility ofall the three drugs was markedly enhanced by ß CD, Poloxamer 407 and PVPK30 alone and in combination.
