ABSTRACT
Cloud computing is a new method to add capabilitiesto a computer without licensing new software,investing in new hardware or infrastructure ortraining new personnel. Applications are purchased,licensed and run over the network instead of usersdesktop. It provides common business applicationsonline that are that are accessed from a web browser,while the software and data are stored on the servers.The web is a global hypertext system, has evolvedinto a distributed application platform, in which theapplication logic and user interface are two separateentities. As we move toward the cloud computingweb platform, web from web content to web ofapplications, the bulk of user data applications willreside in the network cloud.Web applications are a critical part of internetinfrastructure and are used for banking, email,financial management, online shopping, auctions,social networking and the corporations such asGoogle, Microsoft and yahoo expend considerableeffort to keep up with the growing demand forcommunication-heavy internet services which requireimage and video sharing, social networking andsearching. There is a shift from displayinginformation using locally installed programs towardsdisplaying information on a browser. In this paper,we give special importance to the connection betweencloud computing and web application. Also wediscuss the advantages of cloud computing andsurvey challenges and issues related to cloudcomputing.
