ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to inspect the effects of twelve -week tennis courses on visual and auditory reaction times of the girl children between 8 and 10 years old. 48 children participated in the research at the age of 8, 9 and 10. 24 of children constitute control groub and 24 of them constituted the experimental group. 24 children constituted the experimental groub were determined by conducting elections in tennis-specific abilities. Pre-test administered to all subjects before the start of the basic tennis trainings which will continue for 12 weeks. As a pre-testing, all the subjects’ reaction times to sound and light were measured. After the pre-test measurements of the experimental group, for 12 weeks and three days a week and 90 minutes in a day of tennis training base was built. At the end of 12 weeks last-test measurements of experimental group and control group were measured. SPSS 18.00 package program was used to assess the measurements. Wilcoxon sign numbers test has been used for defining the differences of 8, 9 and 10 years aged subjects pre (first measurement) and post (second measurement) tests.
