ABSTRACT
The increasing demand of usable and accessible products has transformed the software process development. These aspects are a central part of the User Centered-Design (UCD), as a guide to improve the quality of life, to achieve a better understanding, to enlarge the market and to increase the client's satisfaction. In spite of these aspects, the importance of the UCD inside the process of development software only is considered as a final attribute of the product and it has not been considered as an inherent element during the developmentprocess. This application absence is even presented more in theprocesses of development of the Small and Medium Enterprises software producers SME´s SP, that sometimes haven’t a very defined process. The use of techniques of usability and accessibility can be reflected in benefits of time, cost and quality, central axes in the continuity and prosperity of the objectives of the business. This work, still in development, shows the basic principles of the UCD together with the role that can play in the success from a product when it is including in the process of software development.
