ABSTRACT
The aim of the contribution is to acquaint with the issue of origin of evil in the documents of intertestamentary period (the books of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees, Ben Sira and some texts from Qumran). Between the Testaments there was a very lively debate on the origin of sin. There was triple solving of the problem: Through interpretation of mythic account of the origin of evil of the agency of fallen angels; through interpretation of transmission of sin from Adam in paradise and finally through explanation of origin of evil in the Instruction on the Two Spirits in Qumran. In the present in Christian tradition there is the emphasis put on the hereditary transmission of sin from Adam.
