ABSTRACT
This paper presents an introduction to the musical theory developed by the ancient Greeks. Here I present and explain the main concepts of the ancient Greek musical theory such as mousikē, harmonia, tonos, systema etc. At the end, I deal also with the most important musical instruments, explaining which were their features and their importance within ancient Greek culture.
