ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to investigate prospective science teachers’ attitudes towards the profession ofteaching. Sample of the study was chosen from the Department of Primary Science Teacher Education. Inorder to determine prospective science teachers’ attitudes “Profession of Teaching Attitude Scale” was used.The reliability coefficient for the scale was found as 0,69. Data were analyzed using SPSS program. As aresult, it is found that gender and high school factors don’t affect the beliefs. After results it was concludedthat it will be useful to improve their attitudes because of the importance of attitude concept in teaching.
