ABSTRACT
Advances in preoperative risk assessment, anesthetic techniques and medical therapy have served to decrease the frequency of cardiovascular complications associated with noncadiac surgery. Despite this, cardiovascular complications are the most treatable adverse consequences of noncardiac surgery. Detailed evaluation are therefore preliminary and the most important step in patient care. Perioperative management of a case is discussed here, in which, the occurrence of arrhythmias was anticipated but not expected.
