ABSTRACT
About pedagogy, the most renowned work by the philosopher Immanuel Kant about education,having very often been considered a work from his assumed senile period, for having been publishedone year before his death, in 1803. Though, it is possible to notice some ideas in it which occur also inhis philosophy of history works, like, for example, Universal History Idea from a cosmopolite point ofview and Conjectural beginning of human history. Those ideas are, among others, the evolution ofhuman being from animality to humanity; the fact that the human being cannot rely only on instinct,needing to extract from himself certain qualities, through the exercise of his reasoning; the idea of adetermination to humankind or a higher purpose for humanity, which is moral determination. Theaim of the present paper is to deal with the possible relations between those three works.
