ABSTRACT
Thinking over high incidence of Enterococcus faecalis in refractary endodontic infections at treatment and their resistance to several antimicrobial, we think opportune carriyng out of search for evaluate their presence in these infections. For this 77 patients were selected, bearing irreversible pulp pathology, which samples were collected for laboratory culture. Results obtained showed us that 13 samples (11 samples from root canal and 02 samples frompulp chamber) introduced E. faecalis. As for antibiogram all of samples of E. faecalis showed sensitivity to vancomicin and gentamicin 120, but all samples showed resistant to gentamicin 10, ciprophloxacin, clindamicin and cephalotin
