ABSTRACT
To enhance the student’s math skill teacher needs to be prepared and arranged the strategy in teaching the material of math. In addition to that the strategy applied in the class is to make the teacher easy in getting the competency of students step by step and get the result of learning mathematics optimally. In order to apply the learning strategy in math the teacher is needed some skills to choose the best method in teaching learning process even for the material or the condition in learning on going now. Learning with that strategy could responded the students to get the competency. Hence open-ended is the approach in learning that could gave the opportunity to the students to get the knowledge, experience, knowing and solving the problem from several technics. This paper aims to analyze the open ended approach in learning to improve thinking skills of junior high schools.
