High Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of thetransmitted signal is a major problem in Orthogonal FrequencyDivision Multiplexing (OFDM) which induces the degradation ofbit error rate (BER) leading to a significant loss in thetransmission power efficiency. Simulation results of the proposedtechnique shows a prominent reduction of 1.63 dB in PAPR. Inthis paper, we have investigated the performance of DWT-OFDMagainst conventional FFT-OFDM in terms of PAPR and BER(Bit Error Rate) in the system.
