ABSTRACT
This paper objective is to evidence the Patrimonial Education developed by the Centro de Memória do Oeste de Santa Catarina (CEOM) in the teachers formation in the Santa Catarina’s west region. The study object was the extension project Histórias da Pré-história: educação patrimonial entre os vales dos rios Chapecó e Irani (Prehistory histories: patrimonial education in the valleys of the Rivers Chapecó and Irani). Made in 2008, it had the support of the Fundo de Apoio a Extensão (FAPEX) da Universidade Comunitária da Região de Chapecó (Unochapecó). This Project resulted in the itinerant Prehistory in the valleys of the rivers Chapecó e Irani, that aimed to socialize the knowledge produced from de archeological studies made by the Quebra-Queixo hydro-electric power station, through the transmission line Quebra-Queixo e Pinhalzinho and the small hydro-eletric power stations centers (PCHs) Plano Alto e Alto Irani. The extension work and the research made after were developed with teachers from different knowledge areas in twelve cities from Santa Catarina’s west.
