ABSTRACT
Criteria for determining the duration of a lethal mechanical trauma were established using the rate of cortisol/cortisone contents in human adrenal tissue. It is determined that if cortisol/cortisone rate in human adrenal tissue is more than 1.8, it can be stated that the person did not die immediately after the trauma but a short period of time later (from several to some tens minutes) or 1-2 hours after the injury.
