Production of Fibrinolytic Enzyme by Streptmyces Rimosus at Conditions of Nitrogen Limitation

The kinetic of the enzyme production of Streptomycesrimosus, a producer of exoproteases was investigatedin conditions of nitrogen limitation.The maxima of fibrinolyticand caseinolytic activities by Streptomycesrimosus were reached at 84 h, respectively 96 h. Valuesof activities were increased 5-fold with those on initialmedium. The ultrastructure changes were followed. Inthe earlier hours an aggregation of ribosomes in cellswas established. Large membranes and numerous electron-transparent structures were found. The obtained resultsindicated close connection between cell status ofthe producer, its enzyme productivity and an ability ofthe strain to survive at conditions of nitrogen limitation.
