ABSTRACT
The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the productive and qualitative potential of AG-2501C inter specific sorghum hybrid submitted to two cuts, 50 and 85 days after germination. The variables evaluated were: stand (thousand/hectare), height (cm), percentage of plant structural components (leaf blades and stem, %), fresh and dry matter yield (t ha-1), values of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF), hemicellulose (HEM), cellulose (CEL), acid detergent lignin (ADL), calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), magnesium (Mg), potassium (K), in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) and in vitro organic matter (IVOMD). Experimental randomized block designs with four replicates were used, being two treatments (two cuts) for productive variables and a 2 x 2 factorial treatment arrangement (two plant parts x two cuts) for qualitative variables. The productive variables did not differ (P>0.05) among cuts. Fresh and dry matter yields of the two cuts were 22.47 and 3.47 t ha-1 respectively.
