"nThe traditional view of medical ethics and medical profession (with self – conscious and maintaining it's regulations and codes distinct from occupation and trade )opposes any conflicts of interest in order to save dignity, the honor and the noble traditions of medical profession and to defend the principles and duties of medical profession, such as" Beneficence and non maleficence ."Conflict of Interest is a situation where professional judgment concerning a primary interest i.e. patient's best interest, may be unduly influenced by a secondary interest. Conflict of interest situations often result from dual relationships (relationship with a person in more than one context) or financial incentives, for example by an action that crosses a professional boundary (i.e., an act that violates the expected physical, psychological, and emotional distance expected between a professional with a colleague or a patient like bartering or accepting gifts from patients, giving gifts to patients.) "nRelationships and financial associations between radiologists and other physicians, pharmaceutical, medical device manufacteres, medical facility managers and other medically related industries have received considerable attention in recent years. "nIn this article we surveyed the common cases of conflict of interests, including" dichotomy, medical advertising, defensive medicine and medical fees (Unpractical fees, fee reduction)"with recommendations and prevention measures to reduce this conflict with regard to disciplinary laws and role of Iranian medical council and medical scientific associations.
