ABSTRACT
Community-acquired pneumonia due to Pseudomonasaeruginosa typically occurs in patients with pre-existing lungdisease and immunocompromised individuals. We reportthe case of a previously healthy young adult who presentedwith recurrent episodes of pneumonia due to Pseudomonasaeruginosa complicated by pleural effusion. Careful andextensive evaluation ultimately revealed the unusual reasonbehind the patient’s illness.
