ABSTRACT
The degree in History exists in Portuguese Universities since 1957, after separation from Phisosophy. It was then established curricular structures of 5 years. The subsequent reform (1968) continued this long, but distinguished the baccalaureate (3 years) and undergraduate (5 years+ thesis). This paper mqkes a brief tour through the structures provided in this two curricular reforms and the role played by theoretical and methodological disciplines. It also tries the possible glimpse by the teaching of these subjects at the Universities of Coimbra, Lisbon and Porto.
