ABSTRACT
This paper presents a multicriteria approach for the problem of choosing an air transport alternative between the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.Both executive and tourist points of view are considered. Decision criteria taken into account are price, route, frequency of flights, in board services, aircraft model and mileage problem. Criteria are aggregated into a single broad criterion by means of a weighting scheme. Subjective criteria are quantified and weights are assigned by the MACBETH approach. The PROBE method is used in a post optimization analysis.
