ABSTRACT
Carrier to Noise Ratio (CNR) has been investigated for radio overfiber systems including the effects of variation in the laser linewidthand RF oscillator linewidth in this paper. Optical Single sidebandsignal is studied as it has tolerance for power degradation due todispersion effects over a length of fiber. Investigations have beenmade out for Radio frequency of 30 GHz, with a continuous wave(CW) laser source of 1550 nm. CNR has been evaluated using PowerSpectral Density(PSD) function.CNR is studied varying laserlinewidth and RF oscillator linewidth for 2 Km fiber with chromaticdispersion D=17 ps/Km nm.
