ABSTRACT
This contribution intends to show somecharacteristics of the special development of Slovenian towns in the lastdecade. Trends of spatial development are more or less similar in alltowns, irrespective of their size, economic orientation of the town anddevelopment of the gravitational area. The main caracteristics is that themajority of Slovenian towns gradually moves from a high density compacttown into a dispersed, regional town.
