ABSTRACT
A wireless sensor network consists of a number of sensor nodes working together to monitor a region to obtain data about the environment. Data gathering and processing by sensor nodes and other nodes is necessary for the proper management of WSN system to achieve the desired goal. We have designed a wireless sensor network system for weather prediction. The sensor nodes collect weather parameters such as temperature, pressure, humidity, wind and velocity etc, do the limited processing to generate data and communicate the same to the cluster-heads for coordinated collection of data and pass on to base station for in depth weather prediction. This is then passed on to users through internet. We have compared our model with those available in the literature and have found that our model is quite exhaustive.
