ABSTRACT
The mutagenesis and genotoxicity studies have than enough more acquire every day bigger importance in the world environment for the constant deterioration to which is subject the modern man's cohabite. Two main reasons that justify the man's concern in front of the exhibition to the mutagenic agents exist. First, an increment in the degree of mutation of the germinal cells can cause the increase of the genetic illnesses incidence in the future generations. Second, the mutations in the somatic cells can contribute to several disorders and even, to be involved in the pathogenesis of some chronic degenerative illnesses. That in the pharmacotoxic evaluation of the products all the established requirements are completed it is the fundamental objective of most regulatory authorities. The aim of this work is to offer a modernized strategy on the realization of the products genotoxic evaluations, medications and new active ingredients. We kept in mind the mutagenic and in vitro genotoxic studies and inside these the Ames assay and the chromosomal aberrations assay in human lymphocytes culture of peripheral blood. As for the in vivo genotoxic studies we treat the topic of the comet assay in leukocytes of mice peripheral blood, the micronuclei assay in bone marrow erythrocytes of mice and lastly the sperm head morphology assay.
