ABSTRACT
The current study was undertaken to evaluate anti-inflammatory activity of alcoholic extract of seeds of trigonella-foenum-graceum (Fenugreek) on Wister strain rat. Seeds were collected, air dried, reduced to no: 36 powder and extracted with petroleum ether at 60º-80ºC followed by extracted with 50% aqueous methyl alcohol. The acute anti-inflammatory activity of trigonella-foenum-graceum (100mg & 200mg/kg b.w) was measured plethysmographically using carrageenan as inflammatory agent, keeping indomethacin (10mg/kg b.w) as reference standard. Trigonella-foenum-graceum (100mg/kg b.w) had shown significant difference with control (P
