The study of temporal and spatial development in the city of Taperoá, State Of Paraíba

Located in the central region of the State of Paraíba, in Meso-Region of Borborema, Micro-Region of the City of West Cariri Taperoá has a physical base of about 639,874 km2. With altitude ranging from 650 to 1000 m, rainfall of 505 mm per year. The results indicated that between the period 1984 to 2005 of land degradation avançou.em gradual process. In the city the degradation is a consequence of non-use of conservation measures, demonstrating the lack of guidance and awareness of farmers on the use and conservation of land. The area suffers the influence of warm and dry climate with rain in short periods and prolonged dry season. This study aimed to generate information on the study of spatial and temporal evolution of land in the municipality of Taperoá. The methodology was based on temporal analysis of orbital images TM / Landsat - 5 to the date of July 16, 2005 and 17/06/84. The results indicated that the periods between 2005 and 1984 in the image (NDVI) is the clear overview that reflects the expression of a landscape in the process of destruction which shows a very sharp devastation imposed as a result of human action in changing the patterns of organization social and economic in some areas, affecting thus the process of integration and development so that thousands of people migrate in search of better living conditions.
