ABSTRACT
Transition metal (Zn (11), Cu (11), Co (11) and Ni (11)), complexes of Schiff bases derived from celecoxib, sulphamethoxazole with salyldehyde were prepared and characterized by analytical data, elemental analysis and spectroscopic data. In this complexs an NH2 group available in Celecoxib and sulfomethoxazole were allowed react with Sclicyldehyde to obtained Schiff bases and which then subsequently reacted with transition metals.Schiff bases were derived from condensation of Sclicyldehyde and celecoxib/sulphomethoxazole in equimolar quantities (1:1).Ligand chelates through OH –C=N- functional group of the Schiff bases. The complexes were formulated as ML2 (1:2) type, All the complexes were found to be six-coordinate dehydrates. Complexes were investigated for their analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and in vitro protein denaturation activities.
