ABSTRACT
During the last few years,with high compressionratio performance, fractal image compressionbecomes the hot topic of research.In this paper weproposed a search engine whichmay allowsuser toretrieve the similar images from the database byapplying fractal image compression algorithmemploying quadtree iterated function system.In thisproposed searchengine, When a user input animage query this proposed systemmaygenerateimage eigen value data ,comparethe eigen valueswith the stored image eigen valuesin the databaseandoutput the result based on quadtree partitionediterated function system. This proposed searchengine may find the exact input image but also mayfind the right image when the source image isrotated. The traditional fractal technique is too longto compress the image. Therefore quadtreepartitioned iterated function system is introducedwhich may reduces compression time.
